Devastating Typhoon Hits Philippines. Here's How We Can Help

On November 8, 2013 disaster struck the Philippines in the form of typhoon Haiyan. The island of Panay has been particularly hard hit and it is here that the Canadian Red Cross and Canadian Forces have directed a lot of their efforts. At home we are able to show our support by donating to a number of charities. The Conservative government   has said that it will match donations for Philippine typhoon relief. Recently, International Development Minister Christian Paradis has extended the deadline for matching donations from December 9 to December 23. Following are three charities that you can contribute to and your donation will be matched by the Conservative government.
